Many thanks FarfaD! – used your link and now able to run an astronomy package on my Dell Inspiron10 – it ran on other download above but program kept crashing – works well with your link!

Guy your driver works but it bugs with multi shader. I suggest u to look at http://niuki.net/2010/03/drivers-for-gma500-with-opengl-support/

just keeping you guys updates.
i have tried this on Win 7 and it works.
however, you would have to delete the driver that is on Win 7,
then you would have to update the driver manually (just like how you would do it with XP)
i hope that helps.
btw, i think there is an updated version for this driver.
