I spend most of my day coding so this is an essential tool for me. Love the program, but agree with Some)ne, please stop the rest box moving around the screen and correct ‘Shore’ to ’sure’.

Either that or send me the source code and I’ll compile my own version . Otherwise thanks for a great program, seems to work fine on Windows 7.

This is great but I have 2 little pointless niggles …

1: The fact the break/rest box moves around the screen
2: Shore is spelt sure

Same bug on windows server 2003.
I also had a crash between tries – may be this was the reason.

Yes the bug is there. Same -1 second issue and as soon as I run it, the rest alert with the darkened screen starts getting executed and you can no longer work. It gets into an indefinite loop! The only way out left is to somehow hit the exit button first by breaking the msg box.

Pls debug it as early as possible…

Hi Vikas,

This is the one I was looking for and I am very happy to have this. Thanks a lot. It works fine with my windows XP sp2 system. I have just downloaded and play with it and not found any issue as of now.

About issue that Sun Guodong is facing, I suggest him to have reset timeout lower than rest time. (otherwise it doesn’t solve the objective of software if you can break the rest anytime.)

Well i tried and I am also on XP SP 3 , weirdly no such bugs.

Maybe need more debugging , will look at it in detail when i have time.

My OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
My Settings:
Check “Ergomic Rest”
Rest Every ‘45′ Minutes
Rest For ‘5′ Minutes
Reset timeout ‘5′ Minutes
Steps to reproduce this problem at my machine:
1. Check the aboving settings.
2. Exit this software or just exit Windows.
3. Restart this software (after restart Windows). It will lock my screen soon. If I ‘break’ it or wait for the ending of rest time, it will lock my screen soon again. Its interface shows “-1 seconds before rest” which does no change at all.

Now, in order to avoid this problem, I have to use a BAT file to uncheck ‘Ergomic Rest’ first, and then start it and check it manually. The rough BAT file is like this:

reg add “HKEY_USERS\S-X-X-XX-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx\Software\Rest Reminder” /v “ergo” /t REG_DWORD /d 00000000 /f
start RestReminder.exe
exit

I hope these information can help you to solve it, because I really like this software. Thanks!
